Role Overview:
This is not a typical sales job. As a Design Consultant at Decotales, you’ll be the bridge between our clients’ dreams and our design expertise. You’ll take clients through an immersive journey—starting from understanding their real needs to offering the right design solutions and guiding them through confident decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Client Understanding & Consultation:
- Build trust through active listening and empathy.
- Deep dive into clients’ floor plans, lifestyle, preferences, and pain points.
- Set clear expectations—what clients can expect from us and what we expect from them.
- Offer design-based solutions that enhance both functionality and aesthetics.
2. Experience Center Engagement:
- Welcome clients to our curated experience center or virtual sessions.
- Showcase materials, finishes, and designs in a way that simplifies their decision-making.
- Demonstrate how our designs come to life—from mood boards to final execution.
3. BOQ Creation & Estimation:
- Collaborate with design and costing teams to prepare accurate estimates and solutions tailored to client needs and budgets.
- Present and explain quotations clearly, ensuring clients understand value vs. price.
4. Closure with Confidence:
- Guide clients toward informed decisions, addressing concerns with clarity and confidence.
- Highlight Decotales’ differentiators—custom design, in-house factory, AI tracking, transparent pricing, and quality execution.
5. Post-Closure Coordination:
- Ensure smooth handover to the design and project teams.
- Be the anchor of trust even after closure—ensuring promises made are promises kept.
6. Learning, Growth & Innovation:
- Stay updated on design trends, interior innovations, and material knowledge.
- Attend in-house mentoring, training, and feedback sessions to continuously upskill.
- Contribute ideas to improve client experience and internal processes.
What We’re Looking For:
- A passion for interiors and people.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- A mindset that values listening over pushing.
- Ability to understand floor plans and spatial layout (training will be provided).
- Willingness to learn software tools used in interiors.
- 1–4 years experience in design/sales/client-facing roles preferred.
