Warranty Policy — Nandaki Interior Design E-Commerce Pvt. Ltd.
1. General Terms
This Warranty Policy governs all engineered wood furniture products manufactured and sold by Nandaki Interior Design E-Commerce Pvt. Ltd. (“Nandaki”, “us”, “we”, or “our”).
It forms part of the Terms of Service by reference.
Only the terms stated on this page shall govern the warranty for products purchased from us, irrespective of any communication elsewhere.
We reserve the right to amend these terms at any time without prior notice.
Warranty applies exclusively to the original purchaser and is non-transferable. It is valid only for products retained at the original delivery location.
Any relocation of furniture from the original address will void the warranty.
You must present the original invoice (digital or physical) to initiate a warranty claim.
All disputes arising from these warranty terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
1. Engineered Wood Products
This category includes all furniture items made with engineered wood (such as Particle Board, MDF, HDF, or Plywood) except sofas.
Carcass: Engineered Wood
Shutter: HDF
Note: MDF boards forming part of any engineered-wood product are not covered under warranty.
Warranty Coverage
- Termite or borer issues in Particle Board components
- Manufacturing defects related to construction or hardware fitting
Not Covered
- Scratches, cracks, or chipping occurring after delivery (unless caused by hardware failure or improper installation by our technician)
- Swelling, bubbling, or delamination caused by water, moisture, or humidity exposure
- Discoloration or change in finish due to sunlight, age, or cleaning agents
- Damage caused by improper cleaning methods or unapproved chemicals
- Misuse, overload, or outdoor usage of indoor furniture
- Unauthorized alterations or modifications to the product
- Mirror damages or any kind of colour/finish changes on mirror surfaces.
- Hardware mechanisms (hinges, drawer channels, handles, locks, runners, etc.) rusting or any kind of non-manufacturing defects are not covered under warranty once installed and accepted in good condition.
- Normal wear and tear due to regular use.
- Damage from accidents, falls, impacts, fire, or exposure to corrosive environments.
3. Installation, Removal, Shifting, Dismantling, and Third-Party Work
Warranty shall be void if any of the below occurs without Decotales’s prior written approval:
- Installation was not carried out by a Nandaki technician.
- Removal, shifting, or re-fitting performed by the customer or any third party, including movement to a different room or floor within the same home if it involves dismantling or results in damage or misalignment.
- Dismantling, reassembly, re-installation, or wall mounting performed by anyone other than Nandaki.
- Self-drilling, adding screws, cutting/planing edges, creating new openings, modifying shutters, changing hardware, or altering carcass dimensions.
- Transporting the product to another address or storage facility.
- Repairs, servicing, or cleaning by unauthorized personnel, or use of unapproved chemicals, adhesives, or surface treatments.
4. Care and Usage Requirements
- Keep furniture away from water, damp walls, and direct sunlight or heat sources.
- Wipe spills immediately; use only mild, non-abrasive cleaners recommended for laminates/HDF.
- Ensure level flooring; persistent wobble or racking due to uneven floors is not a defect.
- Maintain a dry, well-ventilated environment; avoid placing wet items inside cabinets.
5. Warranty Period
- The warranty duration for each product is specified on its product page.
- Unless otherwise stated, the standard warranty period is 1 year from delivery.
6. Reporting Windows
- Transit damage, missing parts, or installation issues must be reported within 48 hours of delivery/installation.
- Covered issues arising during the warranty period must be reported within 7 days of discovery.
7. Claim Process
- Contact our support via the details on the website within the timelines above.
- Provide photos and/or videos as requested, along with the invoice/order details.
- A site visit may be scheduled for inspection.
- After verification, at our discretion and subject to parts availability, we may:
- repair, or
- replace the defective part/product, or
- offer a partial refund proportionate to the remaining warranty period if repair or replacement is not feasible.
- If the product is discontinued, we may offer a pro-rata refund or an equivalent replacement model.
- Transportation or labor charges for post-delivery service are not included unless specifically stated on the product page.
- Refusal of the offered resolution will forfeit further warranty claims for that issue.
Warranty will stand void if :
· Damage of product due to misuse and abuse
- Damage caused by misuse, abuse, neglect, or improper operation
- Damage caused by accidents, falls, or impacts
- Damage caused by unauthorized repairs or modifications
- Reporting of claim after 7 days from the date of damage/claim arising
- Product kept in unhygienic or unsanitary conditions
8. Limitation of Liability
- Remedies under this policy are limited to repair, replacement, or pro-rata refund as determined by Nandaki.
- Nandaki is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses.
